What should you expect from a storytelling café?
There will be tales, lots of tales! These are the strange and wonderful old stories told in times past, shared across generations, countries and cultures and served up with a contemporary twist!
At this first monthly Sherwood story event you will be entertained by a rich mix of Storytellers from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire to entertain, amuse and defy expectations.
This is not a night for children, nor the faint hearted!
You will hear of clever fools and the search for luck, otherworldly creatures and magic realms, cursed kings and brave adventurers.
Expect a warm welcome and electric atmosphere in a heart of Sherwood night of tales, legends, stories and songs.
Hosted by Storyteller Amanda Smith.

Why should you come?
People say they like storytelling experience because it’s a little bit different and surprising. They like the atmosphere, imagining all the strange and wonderful things the storyteller is describing and feeling involved in the story making.
Our event is being hosted at The Divine Coffee house. I was blown away by the enthusiasm of Ashe and his team in this cool independent coffee emporium. We share the same values for community development and providing opportunities for people to have quality good times. It was the only choice for a venue.
Doors close at 7.30
